Practice 8 introduces the passive front tackle. This technique is necessary. When we're not in a position to make a strong aggressive tackle and must use the attackers momentum to bring them to the ground all players should be in tackle suits for this exercise attackers must carry the ball into hands run straight and must keep moving forward in the tackle. We're not run hot. Bad a good Weld and keep your arms together Charlie. Okay, let's go. Let's win it. Good. Stay Pig better. Well done. Let's go. Good much better head on the good side. Please head over good tackle. Alex. Defenders need to stay tall and position their head close to the side of the attackers body. With their feet close they must make contact with the same shoulder as their leading foot. Gripping tightly they fall back using the attackers momentum to turn him onto his back tacklers must keep their heads tight against the attackers buttocks turning and falling on top of the tackle. Through good time. Don't forget these books our hands working for us. Good. Well done. One more run good Smash It the basic tackle technique from earlier practices still applies. But here the emphasis is on using the attackers momentum to turn him on his back. Once the tackle is complete Defenders should quickly reload onto their feet to compete for the ball.
